Mission

Tonantzin Preschool's mission is to plant the seed of learning through a natural approach. Our children will enjoy acquiring a second language, building a deep connection and respect for nature, constructing meaning through play and experimentation, scaffolding interpersonal skills via critical thinking, and becoming aware of their membership in our global community.

Vision

Our Vision is to help nurture citizens who are knowledgeable, self-sufficient, solidary, ethically solvent, and who actively participate in their responsibilities and rights. Through our daily activities and celebrations, students will become aware of their cultural roots, history, and traditions as a way to embrace and love who they are.

About Ms. Sandra

I was born in a small ranchito located in Michoacán, México. There I was fortunate enough to be one of the last generations to experience my childhood in nature. In our backyard, my childhood was full of unsupervised creativity and exploration. We would spend hours outside making up games and singing songs that had entertained generation after generation.

During my life, I was privileged enough to experience the beauty of our culture and the magnificence of its people. It is my intention to awaken these teachings at Tonantzin.
